Chupacabra Photos
From LoveToKnow Paranormal
What's the best way to find chupacabra photos? The Internet is a great place to find pictures of all kinds of paranormal phenomena, including pictures of chupacabra, but are those photos enough to testify to the existence of El Chupacabra?
El Chupacabra
Chupacabra, El Chupacabra, Chupacabras; this crptozoological creature is known by all three names. Believed to be indigenous to the Americas, particularly Mexico, the Southern US, Puerto Rico and Central and South America, it is unknown whether El Chupacabra is myth, urban legend or reality.
El Chupacabra is believed to be a creature that is a unique combination of a dog-like head and body with a reptile-like appearance including a forked tongue. It is said that El Chupacabra hops like a kangaroo. The term chupacabra is taken from two Spanish words (chupa and cabra), and literally means "goat sucker". It is believed that El Chupacabra skulks in the night and drains the blood from livestock.
The Next Cryptid to Make it Big?
The true definition of a cryptid is an animal that has not yet been classified by zoology. It is a creature that is suspected to exist, but lacks scientific support. A number of animals started out as cryptids, including the okapi and the platypus. Eventually, zoologists found and classified these creatures.
Are chupacabra photos the first step in El Chupacabra becoming the next cryptid to break through to the mainstream? Time and DNA testing will tell.
Why Photos of Chupacabra Aren't Enough
While chupacabra photos certainly present interesting evidence that there is something strange out there, science needs more than photographs to re-classify a cryptid. Chupacabra photographs, along with anecdotal evidence make El Chupacabra an enticing mystery, but zoologists would need to actually find El Chupacabra in the flesh in order for this mysterious and frightening creature to be considered real.
There have been a number of animals found and/or killed that many believe is El Chupacabra. The chupacabra photos of these dead animals are certainly anomalous and interesting, although scientists have theories about what they really are – and it isn't El Chupacabra.
Theories About Chupacabra Photos
A number of the chupacabra pictures found on the Internet are of critters found dead in Texas and Oklahoma. What can this mean? Should farmers in Texas lock up their livestock? Possibly, but scientists have another theory. They believe that the Texas chupacabra photos and the Oklahoma chupacabra photos may actually be coyotes with an as-yet unknown form of mange or some other skin condition. Texas State DNA testing done on the creature found in Cuero, Texas showed that the creature was in the dog family, and was almost a match for the common coyote.
