From LoveToKnow Paranormal
The Internet is a great source of chupacabra pictures. This article will provide you with a listing of websites you can visit to view images said to be of the creature.
What is Chupacabra?
Chupacabra, also known as El Chupacabras or Chupacabras is a cryptid that is believed to be indigenous to Mexico, Puerto Rico, South America and the United States. It is so named from the Spanish words chupar and cabra. The combined meaning of these two words is "goat sucker".
In chupacabra pictures, the animal appears to be a cross between a reptile, a kangaroo and a dog. It is believed to attack livestock, completely draining the animals of all blood.
Finding Chupacabra Pictures on the World Wide Web
Many people claim to have captured chupacabra pictures. Here are a number of places where you can find chupacabra pictures and footage of this mysterious cryptid.
Stillwell, Oklahoma
Pictures of a creature suspected to be a dead chupacabra were sent in to a local news station in Tulsa, OK. The creature was found in Stillwell, a small town about 100 miles southeast of Tulsa. NewsOn6 has the photos posted on the news station's website.
Blanco, Texas
A family in Blanco, Texas poisoned what originally was thought to be a rodent that was making a mess in the family's barn. The next day, after having put out the poison, the family found a dead creature in the barn. Many believe it is El Chupacabra. KOLD News 13 has a video.
Santo Domingo Autonomous University
A strange creature was found drinking water from the toilets at Santo Domingo Authonomous University in the Dominican Republic. It was believed by many to be a photograph of El Chupacabra. The photograph can be found on the blog of Faustin O. Perez.
San Antonio, Texas

Cuero, Texas
A hunter in Cuero, Texas named Phylis Canion discovered some interesting road kills near her ranch in 2007. Over a four-day period, she found three more bodies of these creatures; each weighed around 40 pounds. She believes these creatures to be El Chupacabra and that they killed her chickens. Fox News has the Chupacabra pictures posted on its website.
Is it Really Chupacabra?
A great deal of controversy surrounds most chupacabra pictures. While many believe the creature is real, all of the animals found and identified as chupacabra may actually be something quite different indeed.
In some cases, DNA testing has been performed, and the DNA matches that of a coyote. Is it possible that many of the chupacabra pictures are merely of a coyote with some type of mange or other skin affliction?
With each of the above pictures where people believe the animal is a chupacabra, a number of indicators point to a more natural zoological explanation. In each case, the creature didn’t have the forked tongue that El Chupacabra is rumored to have. Add to that, the fact that most of the creatures are very dog-like in appearance, (or in one case, rodent-like) and there is a good chance that what is really in the pictures is either a mangy coyote or large rodent.
Interestingly, many of the creatures in the above pictures were found in either Texas or Oklahoma around the same time frame. What's going on in Texas? Is it being overrun by El Chupacabra? When you combine the DNA testing that proves that the creatures are coyotes with the geographical cluster of sightings, there is a good chance that a population of coyotes in that region of the country are all suffering from the same disfiguring skin disease.
