Thank you for your thoughts, Blackiris. Many share your belief.
-- Contributed by: Sally Painterummmm..vampires are real...believe it or not...
-- Contributed by: blackirisThank you for your thoughts, Ben. A virus would seem like a very likely cause. In fact, many books and movies use this theory as a premise.
-- Contributed by: Sally Painteraccually its a virus that rigs your DNA and well u aint immortal though u age like every wat 3-5 years. if u bite sombody though the virus travels through yout saliva giving it to the victim.
-- Contributed by: benThank you for sharing your thoughts on vampires and whether or not they really exist. I think your perspective of being forgotten and left behind when everyone you know has died is a valid point for not becoming one. Immortality would certainly have its own set of burdens and unique issues.
-- Contributed by: Sally PainterI would honestly say that past history has told us wrong before. But if its true we have nothing really to fear except fear itself. It would b awesome to know that for a fact vampires were real. But i dnt want to become one. The fear of being forgotten, alone, and not to exist amongst mortal living keeps me from wnnting that desire to become one. I would choose a mortal life over a immortal life.
-- Contributed by: Enter your name hereHi again, Nel, it's difficult to know if such things are real or fictional unless you've had an actual encounter. History is filled with such reports from credible witnesses. In the end, everyone must decide for themselves what to believe or disbelieve.
-- Contributed by: Sally PainterHi Nel, thank you for your comment. We truly value feedback from readers. Our articles are written in the style of reporting facts along with a consideration of word count, so we try to get as much factual information within the allotted space. In answer to your question, it's my understanding that vampires can live wherever they choose like humans.
-- Contributed by: Sally Painterall your stories would seem more interesting if you put more detail and emotion. i would like to be a "vampire". be not to be killed just to take a glimpse at another life style. so do they live in the US, Scotland, London, England, or anywhere?
-- Contributed by: Nel s.you know over the years man has made magical, fiction creatures that come from imagination. but when i read stuuf like this it makes me think twice. is there real vampires, real fawns, real unicorns, so on and so on. because where i live there have been sightings of half man and half horse. but I believe this stuff because anything is possible.
-- Contributed by: nel s.That's an excellent point, Araya.
-- Contributed by: Sally PainterNo. Vampires revealing themselves to the world would not be best at all. It would only cause pain and suffering to all.
-- Contributed by: ArayaHi Joe, that would be a remarkable day for sure and a lot of people would be in shock to say the least.
-- Contributed by: Sally Painteri really hope vampires are real and that one day they reveal themselves
-- Contributed by: Joe SKnight, I could not help but notice how you said you have met a... vampire, tell me of this experience. I believe we share this same experience, I would like to know of your encounter.
-- Contributed by: ArayaI'm glad the article helped, Araya and understand your need for the truth. Best of luck and keep us posted.
-- Contributed by: Sally PainterI thank you Sally, the article itself helped, I found it very interesting. Yet I need more, my quest to find the truth about these allusive creatures is far from over.
-- Contributed by: ArayaHi Araya, You may be interested in reading the article Vampires Exist. Also you can do a word search for vampire on the paranormal site and pull up all of the articles written about vampires. I hope this helps.
-- Contributed by: Sally PainterI have had my own special vampire sighting, it is actually the reason for my venturing upon this sight. I need to know more about these creatures, if you have any useful information please feel free to share it. It may aid me on my quest for the truth.
-- Contributed by: ArayaKnight, I agree, people do fear the unknown. I believe that is instinct and often difficult to override. TY for sharing your experience.
-- Contributed by: Sally Painterinteresting, but here is the real issue, where is the most vampire attacks/sightings/cases at? people fear what they dont know but this is something i do know.. ive met one and i seek my invite. it would be nice to get the hotspots due to need of investigation and will guaranteed get in contact again.
-- Contributed by: knightHi Phoenix, Thanks for sharing about the cemetary near you. You are right, often shadows or light-effects trick people into seeing things that aren't there. Human brains have a tendancy to recognize patterns within meaningless noise - and that has led to a lot of reported sightings through the years. Thanks for your comment!
-- Contributed by: RdubeMyah Myah - the night time escape sounds like a pretty scary experience. It's impressive that you got a look at it, did you see it closely? Good news that you got away - what ever happened to the woman? Thanks for sharing!
-- Contributed by: RdubeHi - thanks for your response stating that vampires are around us. That is certainly a scary concept for many people - I'd be interested in any stories you may have about those who've gone looking and have come back with tales? Thanks!
-- Contributed by: RdubeI'm still the freak because i still study them my neighbor who i hate keeps saying she's suprised that i'm still alive. the closest was when my friend we call her meth because her name is crystal saved me she walked in and saw it was atacking me and turned on the lights because she's an idiot and she just grabbed my cross and put it on him. his teeth were right on my skin but he did not bite me! yay me =^.^= and he was the same vampire as all my other stories i think he might be watching me *gulp* 0.0 i better lock up my house cuz my dad and aunt are at work sh*t!
-- Contributed by: myah myahwell i have and i still do my club is still up and willing you should have seen all the near deaths experiences that i had that was my 10th experiences my first was when i was 4 and my mum left up for the night and i had a nightmare and i asked my dad where she was and he said somewhere in the woods and i was the freak in the neighborhood because i always went into the woods when it was dark and never in the daytime (witch i still do but i go in the day time too now) and it was about 2:45 so i went to try to find her... long story short she was being attacked by one and i screamed 'stop' and it looked twards me and started to chase me so i jumped on my bike and road to my church (about 4 miles i was tyired as heck after a while) and ran in and came out with a sharp stick with holy water on it. i was only 4 and i was scrared half to death... but i still study them
-- Contributed by: myah myahvampires live all around us. sometimes even closer to us than people are willing to believe. those daring enough to have gone and searched for one, usually don't come back. the few who have will tell you.
-- Contributed by: Enter your name hereI've actualy had a run in with a vampire when i was looking them up for one of my meetings (do not ask). ok so i was walking home from the walking around Butler after going to the lybrary i had a folder on them and it was about 11:30 so i knew my mum was passed out and so was my step dad and i was walking the back road witch didn't have to much lights so i had to use my super small cell phone well let's just get to the point after a while i started to hear footsteps and i knew for a fact no one went down this road for everyone thought is was haunted and so i looked behind me and shone teh light it was a handsom boy about 15-16 and i noticed he had VERY VERY pale skin and baggs as if he needed a week of sleep i don't remember much of his features all i rember was speeding up the past and thinking of my reacher i heard this man/thing's foot steps going faster so i booked it and next thing i reamber i was on the ground and her was on top of me i had my face on the ground hidding he said something along the line of "what's such a young and beuitful (do not critisize me on spelling i'm only 14) girl like u doing out hear at this time?" and i said something like "going home from reaserch" he grabbed my folder "vampires eh?" "hai!" he said something like "well get a good look at me i will be the last thing you see" san i said something like "OH no u don't u danm vampire" pulled out my cross neclas and ran. i was only 13 T_T
-- Contributed by: Myah Myahthanks for the parnormal information. i live by a cematary and people are always saying that they think a vampire is living there because of the so called shadows that they see in the middlle of the night. people always seem to make a bigger deal of what is really what is going on then what isnt
-- Contributed by: Phoenix LaringHi Angelina - thanks for your great comment. You are right that the public perception of people who are interested in the paranormal is that they are "crazy" - so, as Kelly points out below, that's one reason LoveToKnow Paranormal is here - to provide people with a safe place to come and discuss the paranormal without getting any sort of labels attached! Thanks for visiting and hope to see you here again soon.
-- Contributed by: RdubeHi Vladimir - thanks for your comment. What signs could you point to that would signal that armageddon is starting?
-- Contributed by: RdubeHi Angelina,
You're right, a lot of people tend to dismiss what they can't understand. I hope you always feel you can come to this site to have openminded conversations on all aspects of the paranormal. :)
-- Contributed by: Kelly RoperAfter reading these comments, I must agree that America is the worst place to discuss things that can not be explained. I believe that there are things out there that will go bump inthe night. As well as things that you can't put a finger to, but you know that something isn't quite right. But you can't go ranting and raving about people will more than likely have you commited to the NUT WARD...and than what life is that? But I am on a quest to seeking the truth...maybe I will find it, maybe I won't...but the proof is out there as long as we truely look for it... Thanks for reading....Take Care!
-- Contributed by: Angelinayou humans dnt understand what we are capable of. the race to armageddon is starting.
-- Contributed by: VLADIMIRHi Rand - thank you for your positive feedback and for your intelligent and insightful comments. On a personal note, I do agree with you that at times it may feel discouraging for people who want to take the field of the paranormal seriously. However, at the same time exactly what you and I are doing here - having a serious and legitimate discussion about the various phenomenon - is what's so critical to elevate the research to the sort of intelligent, non-ridiculous level you describe. And I must say that your intelligent comment here certainly suggests that such a public discourse really is possible. Thanks again for taking the time to write such a great comment.
-- Contributed by: RdubeIt's admirable of the author here to possess an open mind. Unfortunately, America is the worst place to discuss the paranormal w/ the populace. We are too immature. Vampires are real. As are many other things. Humans who have fetishes aside, vampiric entities will feed on human blood and yes, leave the classic bite mark (2 holes). A female/succubus will have relations w/ you and draw your essence/your blood to eventually gain dominance over you and possession; hence, You, become one of its vampires. You are consensual in this because the sex is so good. However, You are dominant in this/your dimension, and can overcome such an entity. The same as you'll find a ghost/demonic spirit may leave bloody scratches on you, so can such a succubus leave a vampire's bite. This is not Algebra people. But in America, the basics are where we're stuck, since we can barely, with some seriousness, make it to the basics of such a topic; in the face of the majority's childish reaction born of their ignorant herd mentality (fear of being ridiculed by the next cow over). For the most part, such education is wasted on Americans and WE DO NOT MERIT THE KNOWLEDGE; as is said, it's "like laying pearls before swine." p.s. Genies (the jinn/djinn) are real also. How do u like that? And have, been trapped in bottles and lamps, forced to serve, with more than 3 wishes. That'll give you something to laugh about. My poor countrymen.
-- Contributed by: RandHi Cheryl, thanks for your comment. We will be sure to keep vampires in Scotland in mind for future articles!

-- Contributed by: cherylHi Maven, thanks for your comment and request. The first story listed in this article was 2007, a fairly recent example. We'll take your request into consideration for future stories. If you're interested and believe that the legendary "dark man" could be related to vampires, the article Vampires Exist offers links where you can search through such stories.
-- Contributed by: RdubeI would like to read more stories that are more current about vampire sightings and people having brushes with them.
